CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – Later this month, Dave & Buster’s will open at Governor’s Square Mall with 160 arcade games, party bays, virtual arenas, VIP rooms, and 180 employees offering food and entertainment.
As construction efforts wrap up, Clarksville Now was invited to take a sneak-peek of the new arcade and sports bar restaurant. Here’s what to expect.
Football field-sized arcade room
Jackie Boudoin, assistant general manager for Clarksville Dave & Buster’s, that since February they have interviewed over 1,000 candidates to fill the new positions.
While the kitchen and bar will be churning out fan favorite dishes and drinks, the main attraction is the massive arcade. “It’s the size of an NFL football field,” Boudoin says. “We’ve got 160 games currently and more on the way.”
Customers can look forward to much more than sitting at a table and playing games, said Jackie Kapogianis, sales manager.
“The arena is going to be a virtual room that has six different games to choose from,” Kapogianis said, pointing to the two rooms. “It’s an interactive play, so you will leave there sweating, and you can have food and drinks in there.”
Another addition are the five social bays, where smaller parties and groups of two to 10 can mingle, eat and drink while watching their favorite sports or playing darts or shuffleboard. Kapogianis said these social bays are great for watch parties.
“If people want to come in the middle of the day and eat while having a conference before going to play in the arcade, the VIP rooms are great for up to 20 folks,” Kapogianis said, showing two smaller, quiet rooms. “If you want to do trivia or karaoke night … or if you want to have a more relaxed kid’s birthday, those rooms are perfect.”
Capture the flag
Although the grand opening is still a few weeks away, Dave & Busters is offering a game of “capture the flag” for customers leading up to that date.
Starting Nov. 12, five flags will be hidden across Clarksville over five dates.
The first person to find the flag must take a picture with it and post it on social media. They will receive an invite to the Nov. 22 VIP night (21+) to bring five friends, a $100 gift card, and other prizes. Hints to the flags’ locations will be posted on the Dave & Buster’s Facebook page.
The first 100 guests on the Nov. 25 grand opening will get free, unlimited games on non-ticketed arcade games for the day. The ribbon cutting is at 10:45 a.m. and doors will open at 11 a.m.
Mall grand reopening Saturday

The project included entrance enhancements that feature the new mall logo, while incorporating new flooring, lighting, customer amenities, interior decor and wall and ceiling finishes inside the mall. Meanwhile, the outside of the mall has seen some similar upgrades and new landscaping.
The Grand Reopening & Veteran’s Day Weekend Celebration kicks off Saturday, Nov. 9 at 11 a.m. with musical entertainment, celebrity look-alikes, food and costume characters from Marvel comics. The event will lead up to a drone show in the parking lot at 9:15 p.m.
